Arla is holding its conventional milk price for May at 27.43 pence for its manufacturing litre.

Commenting on Arla’s decision to hold its price, Arla Foods amba board director, Johnnie Russell, said: “Commodity markets and prices remain stable and we have seen some strengthening in recent days as milk production volumes remain low, due to the recent adverse weather conditions.“

- Arla farmers are paid on constituents via a manufacturing schedule.For ease of comparison, the liquid price is 26.39 pence, based on 4% fat and 3.3% protein.
