Arla Protein range continues to grow with launch of two new products
As protein continues to reign king with consumers Arla, the farmer-owned dairy company, is continuing to innovate by extending its popular Arla Protein range with the launch of two new products – Arla Protein Pouches and Arla Protein Greens.
The new Arla Protein Pouches see Arla tapping into the on-the-go market with 200g pouches of the yogurt based snack, designed to be consumed whilst on the move, whether that’s pre or post workout. Designed to rival popular formats such as powder protein shakes, Arla Protein Pouches offer a convenient protein packed snack, with 20g of protein per serving in two delicious flavours - Strawberry and Mango.
Arla Protein Greens sees the brand launch a Mango Kale and Lime flavour variant into the core range. The new flavour appeals to health conscious consumers who are keen to try exciting new combinations and with all of the recent media hype around kale, it’s a natural flavour extension for the range.
All the new products in the range are protein rich, low in fat and contain no preservatives.
The Arla yogurt category more than doubled year on year in 2016 (+116%) resulting from the success of Arla skyr and Arla Protein. Arla has ambitious plans to continue this growth into 2017 and beyond with strong above the line plans and a £2m marketing spend.
The Arla brand comprises a variety of dairy products including milk, yoghurt and cheese. Major products launched last year include Arla B.O.B, Arla Organic Farm Milk, Arla Quark and Arla Protein Cottage Cheese, adding to the already successful portfolio of Arla skyr, Arla Cravendale and Arla Lactofree.
The new launches are in line with Arla’s ambitious business strategy for the Arla brand to become a household name by 2020.
