Arla's show success continues
Nantwich Cheese Show gave Arla plenty to cheer about after scooping a string of awards for their popular cheese and butter products this week.
Not content with winning top awards at the Yorkshire show, Settle creamery enjoyed further success and was awarded the Black Diamond Trophy for its unsalted bulk butter. Settle's salted bulk butter claimed second place and Arla's Yorkshire Butter came third.
Ken Jensen, Settles process and butter manager at Settle said: "Holding the top three places amongst over 30 butter entries from across the world highlights our expertise in this area. A lot of effort goes in to ensuring consistency of product throughout the year and we are thrilled with the awards we have received this summer."
Arla Foods Apetina brand, launched this summer, was also highly recommended by judges at the cheese show. Apetina cheese cubes, which is sold in an innovative re-sealable pack with handy draining basket, won the Bradbury and Son Award for Best New Retail Innovation and a gold award at the show.
Mick Evans, brand manager for Apetina was delighted with the success: "The launch of the Apetina cheese range this summer has been an exciting addition to the UK cheese market and being recognised by the judges at the show really proves its quality as a cheese brand."
A gold award was also given to Arla's dairy brand Anchor for its Mature Cheddar.
