Cravendale skimmed milk - builds bones and now tastes great

June marks National Osteoporosis Month and is a time when bone health is on the public agenda.

June marks National Osteoporosis Month and is a time when bone health is on the public agenda.

However, today many adolescent and young women cut out milk and dairy products from their diet altogether in a bid to lose weight, resulting in low levels of calcium which is vital for building up bone strength for later in life. But for women worried about the fat in milk and who don't like the taste of regular skimmed milk there is now an answer so bone health doesn't have to suffer.

Cravendale fresh skimmed milk is 99.9% fat free but has all the calcium-rich benefits, as well as other important nutrients such as phosphorous and magnesium, as full fat milk. And because Cravendale fresh skimmed milk is pure filtered it's tastier and creamier than the 'white water' taste of ordinary skimmed milk.

Milk is one of the best sources of calcium and a low calcium intake is a key factor in increasing the risk of osteoporosis, a painful and debilitating bone disease which affects 1 in 3 women in the UK and is increasing year on year.

Plus, recent American research* found that including foods in diets which are low in fat and high in calcium may actually help fight the flab. And as Cravendale fresh skimmed milk contains only 0.1% fat, there's no excuse for cutting out dairy to keep trim and you can take care of your bones too.
