New take on food education aims to plug the gap in our children's understanding

While lockdown life has placed even more emphasis on the food we eat and where it comes from, it seems a whole generation of children risk missing key information on how their food is produced. Not only are 1 in 51 kids unaware of where food like dairy comes from, but they are also unsure about food nutrition, meaning they risk being poorly equipped to make sensible, healthy choices later in life.

Arla Foods’ on-account prices for conventional and organic milk will increase by 1 euro cent per kilo, from 1 November 2020.  

When applied to the manufacturing price, Arla’s pence per litre for conventional milk will be 30.66 pence and the organic price 39.02 ppl for Arla’s farmer owners.

Arla Foods’ on-account prices for conventional and organic milk will increase by 0.5 euro cents per kilo, from 1 October 2020.  This month is also positively impacted by a 0.06 p/kg, quarterly currency adjustment bringing in a total increase to 0.50 pence per kilo. When applied to the manufacturing price, Arla’s pence per litre for conventional milk will be 29.76 pence and the organic price 38.12 ppl for Arla’s farmer owners.

Arla dairy farmers given vital environmental know how through new partnership with scientists

Arla Foods, the UK’s leading dairy co-operative, has today announced a new partnership with the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH).  Through the collaboration, Arla UK 360 farmers are working to trial a customised  version of the UKCEH’s newly launched Environmental Planner (E-Planner) tool, with adjustments specifically for dairy farmers.
