Arla Foods wants more direct suppliers
Arla Foods is looking to recruit more dairy suppliers to Arla Foods Milk Partnership, the dedicated milk supply group for Arla Foods UK, as it seeks to realise its ambition to provide 90 per cent of Arla’s milk requirement by the end of the current milk year. AFMP currently supplies around 80 per cent of Arla’s milk needs.
“We have a very strong offer to potential new members,” said Hanne Sondergaard, deputy chief executive of Arla Foods UK. “Arla has exceptional relationships with its supermarket customers and has demonstrated a strong track record of returning price increases to its farmers. In addition, we have strong investment plans for the business.
“Our supermarket customers are keener than ever to source milk from traceable, high production farms with good track records of animal health and welfare.”
Arla offers members security of supply giving producers 10 years’ notice of termination of contract. Farmers have to give Arla twelve months notice if they wish to leave.
Producers wishing to join AFMP should contact Arla Foods on 0113 382 7125.
