Arla Foods amba board director, and Arla farmer, Arthur Fearnall, said: “Global milk supplies continue to be stable or slightly lower while retail sales continue to grow, albeit at a slightly slower pace. Commodity markets are increasing, driven by a higher fat price. Overall, the outlook is stable.”
Paul Dover, UK Agricultural Director continues: “Last month we concluded our election cycle, and so we have new elected farmer representatives in place across Europe. As a farmer-owned cooperative it is vital to our success as a business and allows us to make long-term decisions for the benefit of our farmers free from the short-termism of investor-driven companies. With new products launching in the UK and news of new investment already committed, it’s an exciting time for Arla farmers.”
